New

Click to add a new category or kind or item or node

Edit

Displays the “edit a kind” screen

Clone

Click if wish to clone a kind code

Delete

Prompts that a kind code cannot be deleted unless another kind code is nominated to take over any related records that might exist. Note: you can make a kind code “inactive”

Settings

Displays the Kinds Defaults window where the default charge rate and mark up is set. Note: Usually only the System Administrator has access privileges

Unit Types

Accesses Unit Types window, where you can create and define unit types

Print

Accesses Print Kinds window, where decisions are made as to what to print and what information to include

Verify

Verifies that the structure is OK

Expand All

Expand all the categories in the list to display the related kinds and items

Collapse All

Collapse one category by clicking on

Alphabetic Sort

Does an alphabetic sort of all kinds within a category

Filter on Code

Enter code if you wish to find a single code - instead of scrolling through the list

Filter on Description

Enter description if you wish to find a kinds which match the description
